Coffee Equipment

I first got into specialty coffee during the summer of 2024 when I was working a remote software engineering job. The spring prior, I developed a caffeine fixation that led me to coffee shops before class everyday. With no need to try, and the inability to do work outside of my secure Wi-Fi, I was left having to brew my own coffee. While researching for a simple coffee machine, I realized that there could be much more nuance to the topic. There machines that had hyper specific roles, like grinders that could grind coffee with precision to a micron and drippers that each promised different flavor profiles. Even the process of beans was complex, with experts not even being able to make recommendations beyond asking someone at your local coffee shop. This obsession with gear and seemingly endless possibilities reminded me a lot of of my hobbies growing up. So specialty coffee naturally became my grown-up hobby. Over the past 2 years of on-and-off coffee making, these are the tools I have accumulated and use every day.
